Frequently Asked Questions

These FAQs are prepared to answer questions about Grad Knight. We hope adults will encourage students to attend this once in a lifetime celebration. Often times it is the little push from a trusted adult that convinces them.
1. Why is Grad Knight held? To provide graduates with a special celebration; attended only by members of their graduating class; in a safe, alcohol and drug free environment.
2. When is Grad Knight? As the name indicates, Grad Knight begins on the night of graduation...Thursday, June 12th.
3. Who can attend Grad Knight? All 2007-2008 Carlsbad Unified School District graduating seniors from Carlsbad High School, Carlsbad Village Academy and Carlsbad Seaside Academy.
4. Can individuals who are not 2008 Carlsbad graduates attend? No.
5. Where is Grad Knight held? Disneyland
6. How much does Grad Knight cost? Tickets are currently $85.00 per student.
7. What if a student cannot pay for Grad Knight? Scholarships are available. The graduate should complete the contract & medical form and then have a school employee (counselor, assistant principal, principal, or teacher) sign the bottom of the form indicating the scholarship amount requested, along with their printed name, and school phone extension. One of our committee members will contact that school official and/or the student to discuss the scholarship.
8. How do the graduates get to Disneyland? Graduates are transported to and from Disneyland in coach buses. The location from which they will be transported to and returned from Disneyland will be announced later.
11. What should graduates bring to Grad Knight? See Disneyland Rules...
12. What happens if someone brings or uses alcohol or drugs at Grad Knight? A strict NO TOLERANCE policy will be in force. Graduates using or possessing alcohol, drugs, paraphernalia or weapons will be separated from the event and their parents/guardians and/or the police will be contacted by Disneyland and/or a Grad Knight Committee representative.
14. Does the graduate have to ride the bus? Yes
